Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and the world over observed the Jammu Martyrs\u2019 Day on Monday to reaffirm their resolve to continue the martyrs\u2019 mission till realisation of their inalienable right to self-determination.<\/p>\n

Thousands of Kashmiris were massacred by the forces of Maharaja Hari Singh, Indian army and Hindutva forces in different parts of Jammu region, while they were migrating to Pakistan during first week of November in 1947.<\/p>\n

In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, rallies, demonstrations and protest gatherings were arranged in all small and big cities under the auspices of the Kashmir Liberation Commission, All Parties Hurriyat Conference and religious organisations.<\/p>\n

In Muzaffarabad, the main function of the Yaum-e-Shuhada-e-Jammu was held under the auspices of the Kashmir Liberation Commission. Protest demonstrations and anti-India and pro-freedom rallies were arranged in Mirpur, Kotli, Bhember, Rawlakot, Bagh, Poonch, Hatiyan, Sadhnothi and Neelum.<\/p>\n

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the Kashmiri people staged a protest and clashed with the Indian army’s personnel after they used brute force against them. Indian troops also martyred a Kashmiri youth in an act of state terrorism in Srinagar, according to Kashmir Media Service.<\/p>\n

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leadership paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Jammu. APHC leaders, Shabbir Shah and Nayeem Khan, in separate their messages from Tihar Jail, said the massacre of the Muslims in 1947 was the most horrible incident of Kashmir\u2019s history that still haunts Kashmiris.<\/p>\n
