A leading Arab-Israeli actor, Maisa Abdel Hadi faces charges including \u2018incitement to terrorism\u2019 over her social media posts that expressed support for Hamas\u2019s October 7 attack on Israel, justice officials said Sunday.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Actor Maisa Abdel Hadi, 37, who has played in several series, films and plays, was briefly arrested earlier this month after posting a picture of an elderly Israeli woman being abducted to Gaza by the militant group.<\/p>\n

In her Instagram story, Abdel Hadi, who lives in the northern Israeli city of Nazareth, wrote that \u201cthis lady is going for the adventure of her lifetime,\u201d adding laughter emojis.<\/p>\n

Abdel Hadi also wrote \u2018our youths are good\u2019 in an apparent reference to the man abducting the elderly woman.<\/p>\n

Later in the day, she posted a picture of a bulldozer breaching the fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel during the attack.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s go Berlin-style,\u201d she wrote in a caption in reference to the 1989 fall of the Berlin Wall.<\/p>\n

In addition, the actor asked friends in a WhatsApp group if they \u2018heard the good news\u2019 about the attack, before giving details about the attack on southern Israel by Hamas and the abductions.<\/p>\n

With 27,000 followers on Instagram, her \u2018stories\u2019 in which \u2018she expressed sympathy, encouragement and support to acts of terror\u2019, could \u201cunder the circumstances cause an act of terror to take place,\u201d the Justice Ministry said.<\/p>\n

She was also charged with \u2018identifying with a terror group\u2019.<\/p>\n

According to a ministry statement, Abdel Hadi\u2019s charges, filed at the Nazareth district court, were the 30th to be filed since the start of the war on similar cases.<\/p>\n

Israeli-Arabs account for about a fifth of Israel\u2019s population.<\/p>\n
