Days after the death of actor Matthew Perry, his last year\u2019s memoir \u2018<\/em>Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing\u2019\u00a0<\/i>returned to No.1 spot on Amazon\u2019s best-seller list.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The untimely demise of the American-Canadian actor Matthew Perry aka everyone\u2019s favourite Chandler Bing, in the top-rated television comedy\u00a0\u2018Friends\u2019,<\/em> sent shockwaves across the entertainment industry on Sunday, when he was found dead in the hot tub at his Los Angeles home, over the weekend.<\/p>\n

The death of the 54-year-old was confirmed in a statement by an American broadcast network on the micro-blogging site, X: \u201cWe are incredibly saddened by the too soon passing of Matthew Perry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Two days after his death, the memoir of the \u2018Friends\u2019<\/em> star, \u2018Matthew Perry: <\/em>Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing\u2019,<\/i>\u00a0detailing his decades-long battle with substance abuse, has now returned to the top spot on Amazon\u2019s best-seller list \u2013 the position it previously enjoyed upon release in November last year.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the process of writing his memoir, which touches upon his life and career apart from the substance addiction, Perry had discussed earlier, \u201cIt all flew out of me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t that difficult a book to write. It\u2019s a more difficult thing to read, because you go, \u2018Wow, this is a horrible story.\u2019 But there\u2019s a sense of humour that runs through it,\u201d he had explained.<\/p>\n
