English music sensation Adele stopped her latest concert in Las Vegas on Sunday night to pay tribute to the late actor Matthew Perry.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Like the millions of fans who were deeply moved by the untimely demise of on-screen Chandler Bing, Perry, the passing affected the iconic musician Adele as well, and she stopped her latest show of the Las Vegas residency at the Caesars Palace to pay homage to the \u2018Friends\u2019<\/em> star.<\/p>\n

Recounting the fond memories of Perry\u2019s unforgettable character, Adele said, \u201cI\u2019ll remember that character for the rest of my life. He\u2019s probably the best comedic character of all time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite having never met the late actor in his life, Adele mentioned that \u2018it\u2019s a very emotional night\u2019 for her and the audience at the Colosseum.<\/p>\n

The songstress continued to recall a friend of hers named Andrew who could imitate the character\u2019s wit and humour flawlessly, always bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. \u201cHe would do it all the time to make us laugh and if any of us were having a bad day or feeling low, he would just pretend to be Chandler,\u201d Adele shared.<\/p>\n

It is pertinent to note here that American-Canadian actor Matthew Perry, who gained fame in the 1990s as the wise-cracking Chandler Bing in the top-rated television comedy \u2018Friends\u2019 <\/em>and chronicled his decades-long battle with substance abuse in a memoir last year, was found dead in the hot tub of his Los Angeles home on Sunday, at the age of 54.<\/p>\n

His death was confirmed in a statement by an American broadcast network on the micro-blogging site, X. \u201cWe are incredibly saddened by the too soon passing of Matthew Perry,\u201d it stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe brought so much joy to hundreds of millions of people around the world with his pitch-perfect comedic timing and wry wit. His legacy will live on through countless generations.\u201d<\/p>\n
