2023 Spring Imperial Decorations \u201cThe Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star\u201d on the former Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan, Mr Imtiaz Ahmad in recognition of his \u201csignificant contribution towards strengthening friendship, cultural and economic relations and mutual understanding between Japan and Pakistan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Order of the Rising Sun is awarded by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan to the Japanese and foreign individuals in recognition of their long-time contributions.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador of Japan Mr Wada Mitsuhiro on behalf of the Government of Japan, conferred the decoration on Imtiaz Ahmad at a ceremony held on Friday at the Ambassador\u2019s residence.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony was attended by the family, relatives, friends, and colleagues of Imtiaz Ahmad.<br \/>Former Foreign Secretary and former Pakistan Ambassador to Japan, Asad Majeed Khan also attended the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Japan embassy\u2019s statement, Mr Imtiaz Ahmed in addition to his regular diplomatic activities has made great contributions to the Japanese people.<\/p>\n<p>It was during his tenure as Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) at the Pakistan embassy in Tokyo,
