{"id":18687,"date":"2023-10-28T01:16:07","date_gmt":"2023-10-28T01:16:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/three-suspected-bandits-killed-in-encounter-the-express-tribune\/"},"modified":"2023-10-28T01:16:07","modified_gmt":"2023-10-28T01:16:07","slug":"three-suspected-bandits-killed-in-encounter-the-express-tribune","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/three-suspected-bandits-killed-in-encounter-the-express-tribune\/","title":{"rendered":"Three suspected bandits killed in encounter | The Express Tribune"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"\">\n<strong class=\"location-names\"><br \/>\nKURIANWALA:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:black\">Three \u201cbandits\u201d allegedly involved in dozens of cases of robbery were killed in an alleged police encounter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:black\">Police said that the DSP of Nishatabad Police Station, Rana Omar Daraz, the SHO of Sahianwala Police Station, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Wasim Sahu, along with their team, raided the premises of Darbar Malan Shah to arrest the suspects in a case in which the latter had allegedly injured several policeman a few days ago. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:black\">Police said that when the police party arrived at the place where the accused had taken refuge, \u201csix armed suspects opened fire on them indiscriminately\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:black\">Police said that three suspects, Shehbaz, Naveed alias Neda and Waseem sustained gunshot wounds during the exchange of fire between the police and the suspects. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:black\">However, three other suspects escaped from the backdoor of the Darbar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:black\">The injured suspects died while they were being transported to the hospital. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:black\">The police filed a case against the dead suspects and their accomplices who had fled from the Darbar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:black\">The SHO of Sahianwala, Waseem Ahmad Sahu, said a raid had been conducted to arrest the robbers when the accused opened fire on the police team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:black\">A few days earlier, the suspects had allegedly shot at several police constables during a shootout. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Police said that Shehbaz alias Nila had been wanted in more than 46 cases of robberies and encounters.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"background-color:white\">Published in The Express Tribune, October 27<sup>th<\/sup>, 2023.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><script async defer crossorigin=\"anonymous\" src=\"https:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/sdk.js#xfbml=1&#038;version=v5.0&#038;appId=419051588770002&#038;autoLogAppEvents=1\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KURIANWALA: Three \u201cbandits\u201d allegedly involved in dozens of cases of robbery were killed in an alleged police encounter.
