ISLAMABAD- In a bid to bolster economic cooperation and trade relations, Pakistan and the United States on Wednesday agreed to collaborate closely on various trade and investment matters.<\/p>\n

This mutual understanding was reached during a virtual meeting between Dr. Gohar Ejaz, Minister for Commerce, Industries and Production of Pakistan, and Katherine Tai, the United States\u2019 Trade Representative.<\/p>\n

The meeting served as a platform for both parties to assess the progress made since the 9th Pakistan-United States Trade and Investment Framework Agreement Council meeting earlier this year.<\/p>\n

During the discussions, Minister Gohar Ejaz apprised the US delegation of the Pakistani government\u2019s dedicated efforts to enhance the business climate within the nation. As part of the dialogue, he proposed the consideration of duty-free access for textile and garment exports to the United States. Additionally, the two sides explored the potential for collaborative ventures in textile and industrial manufacturing.<\/p>\n
