Pakistan People\u2019s Party (PPP) Chairman BilawalBhutto Zardari on Tuesday paid tribute to all the workers who sacrificedtheir lives during the polio campaign.In a statement on World Polio Eradication Day, Bilawal expressed hopethat very soon Pakistan will become one of the polio-free countries ofthe world.Further, he said, \u201cIt\u2019s a matter of concern as a Polio case has beendiscovered in Sindh during this month so parents should give polio dropsto their children.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA polio-free Pakistan was the dream of late Ms. Benazir Bhutto and tofulfill her dream, the political commitment and intentions of thePeople\u2019s Party is strong\u201d, he added.Taking to the micro-blogging website \u2018X\u2019 formally known as Twitter, hegave a message to the public in order to make Pakistan a polio-freecountry.<\/p>\n

It is pertinent to mention here that the first anti-polio program in thecountry was started by the late Ms. Benazir Bhutto who started theprogram by first giving polio drops to her daughter Asifa BhuttoZardari.Moreover, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari also marked the World Polio EradicationDay saying we have to ensure the eradication of this disease.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fight against polio has been going on for a long time, we shouldall work for polio-free Pakistan together and protect our children fromthis disease through regular vaccination\u201d, she said.<\/p>\n
