The Caretaker government of Punjab has decided to send medical aid to Palestine. As per details, the Caretaker Health Minister of Punjab Javed Akram said that Palestinians are in need of medical care at this stage.<\/p>\n

He said that medical teams including nurses and doctors will be sent to Palestine after green signal from the federal government. Earlier, Israel heavily bombarded Gaza overnight after warning it would intensify strikes ahead of a ground invasion, as the war entered its third week on Sunday. As fears mount of a wider conflagration, the Pentagon said it was bolstering its forces in the Middle East to \u201cassist in the defence\u201d of US ally Israel amid \u201cescalations by Iran and its proxy forces\u201d across the region.<\/p>\n

A first trickle of aid entered the besieged Gaza Strip on Saturday, but the 20 trucks permitted to cross were described as a \u201cdrop in the ocean\u201d given the \u201ccatastrophic\u201d humanitarian situation for 2.4 million people. It was the worst attack on civilians in Israel\u2019s history and coincided with the end of the religious holiday of Sukkot. The retaliatory bombing campaign has killed more than 4,300 Palestinians, mainly civilians, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.<\/p>\n
