The Adiala Jail authorities on Monday apprised the special central court that former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi cannot appear before it as he is medically unfit.<\/p>\n

The court was hearing a case registered against Elahi and others under different charges, including money laundering \u2013 how millions of rupees came into the bank account of a Punjab Assembly\u2019s low-wage employee and why he made inexplicable banking transactions in their bank accounts.<\/p>\n

The jail authorities in a report apprised the court that Elahi was medically unfit due to which it was difficult for him to move anywhere.<\/p>\n

The court asked who prepared the report.<\/p>\n

The quarters concerned apprised the court that a team of doctors prepared it. However, the court adjourned proceedings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
