Bollywood actor Richa Chadha revealed how her mother was alarmed thinking she was going to marry Pakistani singer Ali Zafar instead of Indian actor Ali Fazal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In her latest conversation on a podcast, Richa Chadha shared that her mother got really worried when she first told her about dating her co-star, Ali Fazal. \u201cWhen I first told my mom that \u2018I am starting to date this guy\u2019, she called me very alarmed,\u201d recalled the \u2018Ram Leela\u2019<\/em> actor.<\/p>\n

Chadha continued, \u201cShe said \u2018I don\u2019t know if you know that he is married and he has two kids\u2019. I was like \u2018What?!\u2019 She\u2019s like \u2018Yeah, he is from Lahore, he is married and he has two kids\u2019. I said \u2018No, it\u2019s not that guy\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAli plays this character called Zafar in \u2018Fukrey\u2019. His real name is Ali Fazal. There\u2019s another actor called Ali Zafar so a lot of people just confuse the names,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

Chadha maintained that her mother had a warm reaction towards Fazal after meeting him in person, and approved of their relationship.<\/p>\n

It is pertinent to mention here that the \u2018Fukrey\u2019<\/em> couple, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal met on the sets of their film a decade ago and have been in a relationship since then. They officially celebrated their marriage in October last year, after two years of formalising the union.<\/p>\n
