Dengue cases have finally seen a decline in the twin cities after a dip in temperatures during the evening over the last couple of days.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the decrease, authorities concerned have made the decision to conclude the dengue emergency on November 1.<\/span><\/p>\n

The decreasing number of dengue patients has brought relief to health and administrative officials. With upcoming rain forecasted for the next week, the weather is expected to become even cooler, resulting in a further reduction in the number of dengue cases.<\/span><\/p>\n

As of now, 95 per cent of dengue patients have been discharged and sent home in Rawalpindi. Once the dengue epidemic ends, an emergency related to smog will be enforced from November 1.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Friday, 52 new dengue patients were admitted to Rawalpindi hospitals, bringing the total number of dengue patients to 1,852, with over 14,000 suspected dengue cases reported.<\/span><\/p>\n

The highest number of cases in Rawalpindi was reported from Dhok Munshi, Kotha Kalan, and Chaklala.<\/span><\/p>\n

During this year’s anti-dengue campaign, 3,874 individuals faced legal action for breeding dengue larvae, and 596 properties were sealed. Additionally, 1,107 individuals were fined a total of over Rs7 million.<\/span><\/p>\n

New hotspots, including Dhok Kala Khan, Dhamman Syedan, Shukrial, Qayyumabad, Dhok Gangal, and CTC Nine, were declared due to the influx of dengue patients. Furthermore, 76 dengue workers were issued show-cause notices, and 21 were dismissed for inadequate anti-dengue efforts and absenteeism.<\/span><\/p>\n
