By utilising conditional cash transfers, the initiative will aid in the implementation of Ehsaas, Pakistan\u2019s national social <a href=\"https:\/\/channel24.pk\/human-remains-of-sri-lankan-mob-lynched-victim-sent-back-home\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">protection<\/a> and poverty reduction policy, which is now underway.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-1\" style=\"margin: 8px 0; clear: both;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbiu.gov.dm\" target=\"_blank\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener noreferrer\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p>The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will offer a regular loan of $600 million and a grant of $3 million from the Asian Development Fund, and it will administer a $24 million grant from the Education Above All Foundation as part of the Integrated Social Protection <a href=\"https:\/\/channel24.pk\/more-5500-police-personnel-deputed-at-gwadar-as-protest-enters-day-18\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Development<\/a> Programme.<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with Ehsaas aims, the programme represents a substantial shift in the ADB\u2019s strategic participation in the social protection area in Pakistan, according to Yevgeniy Zhukov, ADB Director General for Central and West Asia.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, \u201cthe ADB\u2019s assistance will shift from unconditional cash transfers that provide income support to a mixed-modality approach that focuses more on conditional cash transfers for education, health services, and nutritional supplies that will help reduce <a href=\"https:\/\/channel24.pk\/43330-2\/minister-farrukh-habib-lashes-on-pml-n-talks-about-new-policies-and-more-in-recent-address\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">intergenerational<\/a> poverty through human capital development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The programme contributes to the Ehsaas initiative\u2019s goal of expanding cash transfers to improve access to primary and secondary education up to grade 10 for children and adolescents from poor families, particularly girls, as well as improving health and nutrition services for women, adolescent girls, and children from low-income families.<\/p>\n<p>It also plans to begin covering accelerated learning programmes at the primary education level for out-of-school children who are over the age of school enrollment through conditional cash transfers.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the initiative supports improvements in the implementation of social protection programmes in Pakistan as well as the ability of the country\u2019s fiduciary institutions.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\" style=\"margin: 8px 0; clear: both;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/cbiu.gov.dm\" target=\"_blank\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener noreferrer\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/wicnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/DOM-Website-Ads-2-Idea-2.gif\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" alt=\"Advertisement\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe Asian Development Bank is a reliable and long-standing partner.
