The White House on Thursday issued a clarification on the US President\u2019s statement regarding having seen pictures of \u201cterrorists beheading children\u201d in Israel \u2014 a claim that has not yet been verified<\/a> \u2014 saying that Joe Biden was actually referring to \u201cmedia reports\u201d.<\/p>\n The murder allegation, which started doing the rounds earlier this week, was run by several media outlets but it was never confirmed by Israeli authorities.<\/p>\n According to the NBC News<\/em><\/a>, President Biden, in a meeting with Jewish leaders on Wednesday, had painted a \u201cvivid picture of the horrors\u201d of the ongoing conflict.<\/p>\n \u201cI never really thought that I would see and have confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children,\u201d it quoted him as saying.<\/p>\n However, two senior administration officials said today that Biden was \u201creferring to reports from Israel about beheaded children and cited several media reports of beheadings\u201d.<\/p>\n NBC News<\/em> said it had not confirmed those reports.<\/p>\n The allegation of \u201cbeheaded\u201d babies, which has been used to condemn Hamas\u2019 armed offensive against Israel, first came to light on Tuesday when the official government @Israel<\/a> account on X published a video from i24NEWS<\/em> reporter Nicole Zedek about the devastation at the Kfar Aza kibbutz.<\/p>\n The reporter said \u201c40 babies murdered\u201d.
