A man was shot dead in front of his three-year-old daughter in New Afzal Town in the limits of the Airport police station on Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n

The police said that the little girl was also injured in the firing incident. They added that the victim hailed from Sindh but due to animosity, he had moved to Rawalpindi along with his family.<\/span><\/p>\n

The police registered a case and started an investigation.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the eyewitnesses, the deceased Shahzad was going somewhere on a motorcycle with his daughter when the firing incident took place. The police said that the suspects were already in the area when Shahzad reached there and they opened fire on him and his daughter and managed to escape.<\/span><\/p>\n

The locals attempted to shift the injured to the hospital on a self-help basis but Shahzad died on the spot.<\/span><\/p>\n

The police said that the initial inquiry suggests that Shahzad was killed over a longstanding animosity. They added that they were looking into the case from different angles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rawalpindi police spokesman said that the CPO has taken notice of the murder and sought a report from SP Pothohar Waqas Khan.<\/p>\n
