The Peshawar police on Saturday claimed that they had arrested two people who were allegedly involved in sexually assaulting and then killing a minor girl in the jurisdiction of the Khazana police station a couple of days ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to details, the police arrested two suspects involved in the murder of a six-year-old girl. \u201cOne of the accused is a close relative of the deceased,\u201d the police said. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBoth the accused have confessed to the crime,\u201d Superintendent of Police Rural Zafar Ahmed told media persons. \u201cThey hanged the girl after raping her. The accused were identified as Kamran and Amanullah.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

On Aug 30, the body of a minor Afghan girl was found in a sugarcane farm on the outskirts of the Khazana area of Peshawar in K-P.<\/span><\/p>\n

The six-year-old had been reported missing by her relatives on Tuesday evening – a disappearance that coincided with her mother\u2019s visit to her relatives, according to SP Zafar.<\/span><\/p>\n

A missing persons report was filed for the minor, whose identity had been withheld to avoid further distress to the aggrieved family.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although the family promptly alerted the authorities and an FIR was filed to initiate the search operation, the girl could not be rescued and was found lifeless in the sugarcane fields approximately 12 hours after the complaint was lodged.<\/span><\/p>\n

The infant\u2019s uncle, Faqir Muhammad, said the deceased\u2019s father was a daily wager. <\/span><\/p>\n

A similar case was reported in neighbouring Nowshera district not too long ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the second incident of an Afghan minor\u2019s body being found in the province in the last 24 hours. The body of an eight-year-old Afghan boy was found in the vicinity of Karak district of the province on Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n

The motive behind the killing of the minor boy was not immediately apparent.<\/span><\/p>\n

The authorities initiated a probe into the recent incidents of mysterious deaths of Afghan children.<\/p>\n
