BRASILIA: \u00a0Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that star forward Neymar<\/a> is expected to return for the team\u2019s final Group C match against Scotland in the FIFA World Cup 2026.<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old forward has been sidelined since mid-May after suffering a calf injury, ruling him out of Brazil\u2019s opening match against Morocco and their second group fixture against Haiti.<\/p>\n

Speaking to reporters after Brazil\u2019s 3-0 victory over Haiti in Philadelphia, Ancelotti said Neymar\u2019s recovery is progressing positively.<\/p>\n

He said Neymar will resume individual training before rejoining full team sessions on Monday, adding that the forward is expected to be available for the Scotland match.<\/p>\n

Neymar has not featured for the Brazilian national team since October 2023 and has been working toward full fitness in recent weeks following his injury setback.<\/p>\n

The Brazil coach expressed optimism over the player\u2019s return, calling it a timely boost for the squad ahead of the decisive group-stage encounter.<\/p>\n

Brazil opened their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign with a 1-1 draw against Morocco, before producing a dominant performance to defeat Haiti 3-0 in their second Group C match.<\/p>\n

The South American giants were held in their opening fixture but quickly bounced back with a convincing victory, strengthening their position in the group standings.<\/p>\n
