Pakistan\u2019s future depends on educated youth, says Governor<\/h3>\n

Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad NehalHashmi called on young graduates to play a leading role in Pakistan\u2019s economic and social development as he addressed the ninth convocation ceremony of Habib University, where he attended as the chief guest and distributed degrees among graduating students.<\/p>\n
The ceremony brought together students, parents, faculty members and university officials to celebrate the academic achievements of the graduating class. Addressing the gathering, the governor congratulated the graduates and acknowledged the contributions of their families and teachers, saying that their success reflected years of dedication, guidance and support.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday\u2019s achievement is not only the accomplishment of students but also the result of the sacrifices, encouragement and hard work of their parents and educators,\u201d he said. Highlighting the broader role of education in national development, Hashmi said that prosperous societies are built on learning, tolerance and equal opportunity. He stressed that discrimination based on language, sect or any other social division has no place in a progressive nation and that education remains one of the strongest tools for fostering unity and understanding. The governor described university graduates as Pakistan\u2019s most valuable resource and urged them to use their knowledge and skills to contribute to the country\u2019s advancement.<\/p>\n

He said the responsibility of shaping the nation\u2019s future now rests increasingly on a generation equipped with education and modern capabilities. Referring to rapid global changes, Hashmi noted that the world is moving swiftly toward innovation, research and technological advancement. Businesses and industries, he said, are also undergoing significant transformations driven by emerging technologies and evolving economic realities. In such an environment, he emphasized, young people must focus not only on academic excellence but also on creativity, research, entrepreneurship and practical skills.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe future belongs to those who can adapt, innovate and create solutions to emerging challenges,\u201d he told the graduates, encouraging them to remain committed to lifelong learning and professional growth. Looking ahead, the governor referenced Pakistan\u2019s approaching centenary in 2047, when the country will mark 100 years since independence. He reflected on the sacrifices that led to the creation of Pakistan and paid tribute to the leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, under whose guidance the Muslims of the subcontinent achieved an independent homeland through constitutional and democratic struggle. Hashmi also praised the efforts of the country\u2019s leadership and armed forces in maintaining peace, stability and national security.<\/p>\n
While acknowledging Pakistan\u2019s achievements in strengthening its defense capabilities, he said the challenge of achieving sustainable economic growth and prosperity requires collective effort from all segments of society. He urged graduates to contribute actively to this national mission through their education, professional expertise and personal integrity.<\/p>\n
