BRAMPTON, Ontario, June 07, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Enabled Talent Canada today announced the launch of One Company. One Talent.<\/strong>, a national campaign calling on Canadian employers to create at least one opportunity for a person with a disability or someone from an underrepresented community.<\/p>\n

Running through October 2026, the campaign encourages businesses, municipalities, colleges, universities, nonprofits, and industry associations to make a simple commitment: create one job, internship, co-op placement, apprenticeship, mentorship, volunteer role, or work-integrated learning opportunity.<\/p>\n

The campaign\u2019s goal is ambitious but achievable: to help create thousands of new opportunities across Canada while demonstrating that inclusive hiring is not only the right thing to do, but also a smart business decision.<\/p>\n

Why This Matters<\/strong><\/p>\n

More than 8 million Canadians\u2014approximately one in five people\u2014live with a disability<\/strong>, making disability one of the largest and most diverse communities in the country.<\/p>\n

Yet many talented individuals continue to face barriers to employment despite Canada\u2019s growing labour shortages and national commitments through the Accessible Canada Act<\/strong>, the Disability Inclusion Action Plan<\/strong>, and the vision of a Barrier-Free Canada by 2040<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At a time when organizations are searching for talent, thousands of qualified individuals remain overlooked because hiring systems, recruitment processes, and workplace practices were never designed with accessibility in mind.<\/p>\n
