Wildlife rangers\u00a0rescued a rare Eurasian griffon vulture from the riverine area along the Indus on Monday.<\/p>\n

The bird was subsequently taken\u00a0to the Rahim Yar Khan Wildlife Park.<\/p>\n

According to officials, Rahim Yar Khan Wildlife Ranger Assistant Chief Mujahid Kaleem took the bird into custody following a rescue call. It was placed at the wildlife park, alongside two other griffon vultures rescued from the district during the current season.<\/p>\n

The official said that all three vultures were being provided proper care and treatment amid continuous monitoring to ensure their full recovery. He added that the birds would be released back into their natural habitat once their health was fully rehabilitated.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, wildlife rangers conducted a raid in a village near Zafarwal and arrested suspect Hameed Raza, a resident of Siswan village, for illegal hunting. He was handed over to Lehsar police and a case was registered against him.<\/p>\n

In Chakwal, five men allegedly involved in the illegal hunting of jackals were arrested red-handed. Wildlife authorities imposed a fine worth Rs135,000 on them.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
