Actor Arsalan Butt issued a legal notice to fellow-actor Mamya Shajaffar following her recent allegations<\/a>\u00a0of workplace harassment made during an appearance on a podcast.<\/p>\n

Butt posted a legal notice on Instagram addressed to Shajaffar, alongside a caption that read, \u201cMay the curse of God be upon the liars.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cLegal notice has been sent against false and defamatory remarks. I need a public apology within a given time period or else be ready for defamation, criminal proceedings, and a lot more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Butt also reiterated in the comments that the accusations were false, adding, \u201cI am neither vulgar nor an attention or fame seeker. There will be severe consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n

The legal notice reportedly describes the allegations as \u201cfalse, baseless, malicious, and defamatory,\u201d demanding that Shajaffar withdraw her statements, remove the interview, issue a public apology, and refrain from repeating similar claims in the future.<\/p>\n

The notice came days after Shajaffar spoke on a podcast regarding her worst acting experience in the entertainment industry, claiming that Butt made her uncomfortable on set. Describing him as a \u201cthirsty man,\u201d she claiming Butt acted inappropriately based on her appearance and created tension during interactions, including a heated exchange over a discussion involving feminism.<\/p>\n

Shajaffar further alleged that during an attempted reconciliation on set, Butt tried to hug her, and upon refusal, reacted angrily and caused a scene.<\/p>\n

Shajaffar has not yet publicly responded to the legal notice. She is currently set to make her film debut in Luv Di Suan,<\/em> opposite Farhan Saeed, which is expected to release around Eidul Azha.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
