KARACHI \u2013 A local court has granted a three-day physical remand of Anmol alias \u201cPinky\u201d,\u00a0 accused of drug trafficking, to the local police in a case registered by Karachi South Police.<\/p>\n

The police had approached the court after an earlier request for physical remand was rejected, following which the accused was sent to jail on judicial remand.<\/p>\n

As the hearing commenced, the investigating officer sought physical custody for further interrogation, stating that police needed to trace the source of the alleged cocaine supply, examine the suspect\u2019s financial records, and complete a Criminal Record Office (CRO) verification.<\/p>\n

DIG South told the court that a fresh application for physical remand had been submitted. He also informed the court that details of previous cases registered against the accused had been collected as part of the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n

Police said Anmol alias Pinky was arrested from Karachi\u2019s Garden area and was allegedly wanted in multiple cases, claiming she had been absconding in around 10 criminal cases.<\/p>\n

Officials further stated that narcotics and weapons worth approximately Rs1.5 million were recovered from her possession. They alleged that she was operating an organised drug supply network in Karachi.<\/p>\n

Separately, investigators said audio messages were recovered from her mobile phone, including an alleged voice note in which she reportedly warned associates about a possible arrest and suggested that her network would continue operations through another individual.<\/p>\n

In a related development, authorities have changed the officer leading the inquiry. SSP South has been removed from the investigation, while DIG West Irfan Baloch has been appointed as the new inquiry officer.<\/p>\n

According to an official notification, the inquiry will examine all aspects of the case, including alleged violations of standard operating procedures during the suspect\u2019s court appearance. The report regarding role of Pinky has been directed to be submitted within three days.<\/p>\n

Officials have said strict action will be taken against any personnel found guilty of negligence or misconduct during the investigation.<\/p>\n
