A woman employee was allegedly shot dead by her husband inside a NADRA office in Gujrat on Monday, after which the suspect reportedly died by suicide, creating panic and fear among staff and visitors.<\/p>\n
According to police, the incident occurred at a NADRA office where 42-year-old Amber, a resident of Mohalla Dara Balochan, was employed.<\/p>\n
Her husband, identified as 45-year-old Bilal Saqib, had reportedly dropped her at the office in the morning when an argument broke out between the couple on the upper floor of the building.<\/p>\n
Police said Bilal allegedly opened fire with a pistol, killing his wife on the spot before turning the weapon on himself.<\/p>\n
The incident raised serious questions over security arrangements at the government office as employees and visitors were left terrified following the shooting.<\/p>\n
Police from Civil Lines police station shifted the bodies to hospital for post-mortem examination and launched an investigation.<\/p>\n
A case has been registered under an FIR on the complaint of the couple’s son, Mansoor Bilal.<\/p>\n
