ISLAMABAD \u2013 Commuters in federal capital may face disruption on Expressway, a major 28 km artery connecting Islamabad to Rawalpindi and the N-5 National Highway, due to potential VIP movement.<\/p>\n

Residents and travellers are advised to keep a margin of 30-45 minutes before starting their journey as they can face traffic jams due to the movement.<\/p>\n

Restrictions have been placed on Expressway that features key junctions like Zero Point, Faizabad, and Koral, serving as a major commuter route.<\/p>\n

Sources said the measures have been taken ahead of potential visit of the Iranian delegation to Islamabad for talks with US for lasting resolution of the Middle East conflict.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, the Foreign Office said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation late last night with the Foreign Minister of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araqchi.<\/p>\n

Discussion focused on regional situation and Pakistan\u2019s ongoing diplomatic efforts for peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n

Foreign Minister Araghchi appreciated Pakistan for the constructive role and sincere mediation efforts between the parties.<\/p>\n

DPM\/FM reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s continued commitment to promoting constructive engagement and underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path toward peaceful resolution of issues and achieving lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.<\/p>\n
