{"id":1079,"date":"2023-09-06T21:09:04","date_gmt":"2023-09-06T21:09:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/pm-terrance-drew-hosts-annual-scholarship-ceremony-awards-63-scholarships\/"},"modified":"2023-09-06T21:09:04","modified_gmt":"2023-09-06T21:09:04","slug":"pm-terrance-drew-hosts-annual-scholarship-ceremony-awards-63-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/pm-terrance-drew-hosts-annual-scholarship-ceremony-awards-63-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"PM Terrance Drew hosts Annual Scholarship Ceremony, awards 63 scholarships\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">St Kitts and Nevis<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew hosted the Annual Scholarship Ceremony \u201cCaring Hands Supporting Our Children\u201d at the National Heroes<a href=\"https:\/\/channel24.pk\/st-kitts-and-nevis-labour-party-extends-condolences-on-demise-of-rudolph-morton\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"> Park.\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In the ceremony, around 63 scholarships were presented to students in both primary and secondary schools within his constituency.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-1\" style=\"margin: 8px 0; clear: both;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbiu.gov.dm\" target=\"_blank\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener noreferrer\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">PM Terrance Drew took to Facebook and said, \u201cYesterday I held my Annual Scholarship Ceremony, \u201cCaring Hands Supporting Our Children,\u201d at the National Heroes Park, where 63 scholarships were presented to students in both primary and secondary schools within my constituency.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew continued his investment in the educational development of the nation\u2019s youth with the presentation of sixty-three (63) <a href=\"https:\/\/channel24.pk\/michael-martin-positions-st-kitts-and-nevis-cbi-programme-as-superior-choice-for-hnwis\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">scholarships<\/a> to students within his constituency attending primary and secondary schools.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Prime Minister\u2019s annual scholarship ceremony, dubbed \u201cCaring Hands Supporting Our Children,\u201d was held at the National Heroes\u2019 Park in Conaree on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The event represented another example of Prime Minister Dr. Drew\u2019s commitment to ensuring that every child has access to quality education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Each year, PM Terrance Drew award scholarships to at least twelve students from various schools, but yesterday he launched her official scholarship programme dedicated to students within his<a href=\"https:\/\/channel24.pk\/st-kitts-and-nevis-parliament-approves-rastafari-rights-recognition-bill-2023\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"> constituency.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cI am committed to the academic advancement of our youth and to seeking avenues to continue to invest in our future generation. I firmly believe that every child should have access to quality education,\u201dsaid the prime minister.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\" style=\"margin: 8px 0; clear: both;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/cbiu.gov.dm\" target=\"_blank\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener noreferrer\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/wicnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/DOM-Website-Ads-2-Idea-2.gif\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" alt=\"Advertisement\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Scholarships were awarded to seven (7) nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis to pursue studies in areas that include Geographic Information Systems, Environmental Land Management and Sustainable Land Management, as part of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) National Project \u2013 \u201cImproving Environmental Management through Sustainable Land Management\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The project is a five-year initiative that seeks to transform degraded forest landscapes into biodiversity and climate-friendly areas of sustainable agricultural production.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It is being executed by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and implemented by the United Nations <a href=\"https:\/\/channel24.pk\/st-kitts-and-nevis-joins-oasys-project-pm-terrance-drew-pledges-to-empower-youth\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Environment<\/a>
