{"id":10733,"date":"2023-10-04T12:51:04","date_gmt":"2023-10-04T12:51:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/shc-restrains-ssgc-from-inflated-gas-bills-meter-charges-recovery\/"},"modified":"2023-10-04T12:51:04","modified_gmt":"2023-10-04T12:51:04","slug":"shc-restrains-ssgc-from-inflated-gas-bills-meter-charges-recovery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/shc-restrains-ssgc-from-inflated-gas-bills-meter-charges-recovery\/","title":{"rendered":"SHC restrains SSGC from inflated gas bills, meter charges recovery"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_98\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p><strong>KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday restrained gas company from hike in gas bills and recovery of meter charges, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The high court was hearing a petition challenging hike in gas bills and recovery of meter charges from consumers by the gas utility.<\/p>\n<p>The court summoned reply from the Sui Southern Gas Company by October 12.<\/p>\n<p>The gas utility has changed gas bills and divided gas consumers with different slabs, petitioner said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGas consumers have been divided between protected and non-protected categories,\u201d according to petitioner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe SSGC has also unlawfully fixed Rs. 460 as meter rent.
