KARACHI \u2013 Mid-week break for young learners as\u00a0Sindh government announced a province-wide school holiday on Wednesday to observe Youm-e-Ali.<\/p>\n

According to official notification issued by School Education Department, all public and private schools across Sindh will remain closed on March 11, which falls on the 21st of Ramazan. Authorities said the decision had already been approved during a steering committee meeting held on February 12.<\/p>\n

Youm-e-Ali is observed across Pakistan with religious gatherings, mourning processions, and prayers to commemorate the sacrifice of Hazrat Ali (RA). The day holds deep religious significance for Muslims and is marked with large public participation in many cities.<\/p>\n

Amid preparations for the occasion, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah<\/span><\/span> recently chaired a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister\u2019s House to review security and administrative arrangements for Youm-e-Ali, along with other important religious events including Youm-e-Quds and Jummat-ul-Vida. Prominent religious scholars attended the meeting, where detailed discussions were held on ensuring peaceful observance and effective coordination during these major occasions.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the chief minister highlighted the sensitive circumstances currently facing the country and stressed the importance of unity, patience, and brotherhood among the public. Participants also discussed the need to guide people responsibly in light of the regional situation following recent attacks on Iran<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Officials agreed that security and administrative measures would be further strengthened ahead of the upcoming events. The chief minister assured religious leaders that the Sindh government would take all possible steps to ensure strong security arrangements. He also urged scholars to cooperate with authorities to maintain peace and harmony during these significant religious observances.<\/p>\n
