News Desk:<\/strong> Court proceedings in the Degari murder case were put off on Saturday after the prosecution failed to present its witness, preventing the hearing from moving forward.<\/p>\n

The case, linked to the killing of a man and a woman on the outskirts of Quetta, was taken up by an Additional Sessions Court. During the proceedings, accused Sardar Sher Baz Satakzai appeared before the judge, while the prosecution could not produce its witness.<\/p>\n

Given the circumstances, the court granted interim bail to nine additional suspects named in the first information report and adjourned the hearing until March 7. Advocates Taj Muhammad Mengal, Iqbal Satakzai, Jehanzaib Mustafa Mengal, and Yasar Hayat represented the accused.<\/p>\n

Background of the Incident<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The case stems from a shocking incident in Digari, District Mastung, where a young couple, married by choice about a year earlier, was brutally killed. According to local accounts, the couple was lured to a dinner under false pretenses following a verdict by a local jirga that opposed their marriage.<\/p>\n

They were reportedly taken to a secluded area near Quetta and shot dead.
