QUETTA<\/strong>: The German Unity Day was observed in Quetta on Tuesday evening. In this connection, a function was organized at a local hotel to mark the day when East and West Germany got united on October 3rd, 1990.<\/p>\n

Balochistan Caretaker Information Minister, Jan Achakzai was the chief guest of the function. \u201cBalochistan admires the contribution of the German government to the welfare of people\u201d, Mr. Achakzai told the participants of the function.<\/p>\n

German Consul General Dr. Lotz Rudiger addressed the function<\/h2>\n

Karachi-based German Consul General, Dr. Lotz Rudiger, Honorary Consul General Balochistan, Murad Baloch, provincial ministers, Nawabzada Jamal Raisani, Mir Omair Muhammad Hassani, and others were also present on the occasion.<\/p>\n

\u201cPakistan\u2019s law enforcers sacrificed their lives against terrorists to preserve our freedom\u201d, Mr. Achakzai said, referring to the German Consul General\u2019s visit to the injured of the deadly Mastung blast.<\/p>\n

People belonging to various walks of life including politicians, academicians, journalists, lawyers, and others participated in the Germany Unity Day function.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe cannot be intimidated by brutal acts of terrorism\u201d, Dr. Lotz<\/h2>\n

\u201cThe German Unity only observed in Quetta\u201d, the German CG, Dr. Lotz Rudiger said while addressing the participants of the function. \u201cWe show our solidarity with the people of Balochistan after the Mastung blast and we would not accept to be intimidated by brutal terrorist acts\u201d, the Consul General mentioned in his calculated and measured speech.<\/p>\n

Nawabzada Jamal Raisani also addressed the participants of the German Unity Day. \u201cWe see a thriving partnership with Germany in all walks of life including sports and youth affairs\u201d, Mr. Raisani said.<\/p>\n
