KARACHI, January 28, 2026: The Saudi Riyal (SAR) softened to Rs74.60 against the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) in today\u2019s open market, a small decline from Rs74.66 yesterday and still comfortably below the mid-2025 high of Rs76.03 recorded in July, currency dealers confirmed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The selling rate settled at Rs75.17. This gentle downward drift, shaped by ongoing market recalibrations and steady remittance inflows, reaffirms the Saudi Riyal\u2019s vital role in Pakistan\u2019s economic landscape.<\/p>\n

For millions of Pakistani families, the Saudi Riyal is a financial lifeline, channeling the earnings of workers in Saudi Arabia\u2019s construction, healthcare, and hospitality sectors back home. The State Bank of Pakistan reports that Saudi Arabia accounted for $913.3 million of Pakistan\u2019s remittance inflows in May 2025, the largest share.
