Taylen Biggs has close to 1.5 million followers across TikTok and Instagram, a wardrobe full of designer clothes and 15 fashion weeks under her belt \u2013 and she\u2019s 10 years old.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Taylen arrived at last week\u2019s Balmain show, one of the hottest tickets of Paris Fashion Week, in a luxurious white jacket-and-skirt combo by the French label, black boots and bag by Karl Lagerfeld and her favourite Vintage Frames shades. She was followed, as always, by her cameraman. Also keeping a discreet distance was her \u2018bodyguard\u2019, as she calls him, who also happens to be her father.<\/p>\n

\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI love fashion and I love meeting new people and interviewing them and seeing what they have to say,\u201d she told AFP, before getting down to business with her microphone.<\/p>\n

Taylen, who lives in Miami, has interviewed the likes of DJ Khaled, popstar Kali Uchis and American Football star Patrick Mahomes, as well as a huge number of models, designers and fellow fashionistas.<\/p>\n

She is practically a veteran of red carpets, appearing at everything from the MTV Music Awards to the Superbowl, a regular at New York and Miami fashion weeks, and all over Milan and Paris for the past fortnight.<\/p>\n

\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI really miss my family a lot,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I miss Miami. But I don\u2019t miss the food from Miami. I\u2019m in love with the food here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Influencers are now the fashion industry\u2019s favoured form of media \u2014 a direct line to the public and happy to trade goodies for coverage \u2014 and age is no obstacle.<\/p>\n

Taylen\u2019s father, Josh Biggs, says he has largely given up his job as a construction contractor in Miami to work full-time as his daughter\u2019s assistant.<\/p>\n

\u201cI travel with her everywhere she goes, I am her shadow,\u201d he told AFP.<\/p>\n

Asked if his daughter has become a business, he says: \u201cPeople see her through the camera lens\u2026 but in real life, she\u2019s a child first and foremost.\u201d<\/p>\n

No Qualms<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Taylen landed her first modelling gig when she was 18 months old after her fashion-loving mother, a Colombian who came to the United States when she was 13, posted pictures of her on social media that were spotted by an advertising agency.<\/p>\n

She now runs her daughter\u2019s social media accounts and oversees home-schooling for Taylen and her brother and sister.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe take school very seriously, it\u2019s priority number one,\u201d said her father.<\/p>\n

They worked through the summer so that Taylen could take a long break during the back-to-back fashion weeks in Milan and Paris in September.<\/p>\n

Taylen\u2019s father \u2014 who says he has little interest in fashion \u2014 says there is no pressure on his daughter to continue if she gets bored.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf she\u2019s ready to change and pursue a different career, then it\u2019s up to her,\u201d he said. \u201cWe will leave the fashion world in a second. There\u2019s no qualms about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Taylen seems to enjoy her job.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really good with anyone,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m really good with kids. I loooove children! And I really love adults \u2014 I don\u2019t even get annoyed.\u201d<\/p>\n
