The tragic incident at Gul Plaza has cast a shadow of grief over Karachi\u2019s business community, prompting the Karachi Mobile and Electronics Dealers Association (KAMEDA) to announce a three-day mourning period in solidarity with the victims.<\/p>\n

KAMEDA President Minhaj Gulfam said that more than 100 mobile and electronics markets across Karachi would observe the mourning period. However, he clarified that business activities would continue as usual during this time.<\/p>\n

According to the association, Quran recitation gatherings will be held in the affected markets to offer prayers for the deceased, while black banners will be displayed to express grief and solidarity with the bereaved families.<\/p>\n

Addressing the media, Minhaj Gulfam urged the Sindh government and relevant authorities to conduct a transparent and impartial inquiry into the Gul Plaza incident in order to determine its causes and fix responsibility.<\/p>\n

He stressed the need for strict enforcement of fire safety laws and improved safety arrangements in commercial buildings to prevent such tragedies in the future.<\/p>\n

The KAMEDA president also demanded immediate financial assistance for the families of those who lost their lives, as well as for affected shopkeepers who suffered losses in the incident.<\/p>\n

He appealed to the trader community to remain united during this difficult time and to extend full cooperation and support to the victims. \u201cThe Gul Plaza tragedy is not only a test for the affected families but for the entire business community,\u201d he said, adding that solidarity and responsibility were the need of the hour.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
