Prime Video released the trailer for Guy Ritchie\u2019s \u201cYoung Sherlock\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A new mystery series followed the classic literary detective through his early days of sleuthing. All eight episodes premiere on March 4.<\/p>\n

According to an official logline, the series follows \u201cthe origin story of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle\u2019s beloved detective in an explosive re-imagining of this iconic character\u2019s early days. Sherlock Holmes is a disgraced young man, raw and unfiltered, when he finds himself wrapped up in a murder case that threatens his liberty.<\/p>\n

His first-ever case unravels a globe-trotting conspiracy that changes his life forever. Unfolding in 1870s Oxford and adventuring abroad, the series will expose the early antics of the anarchic adolescent who is yet to evolve into Baker Street\u2019s most renowned resident.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hero Fiennes Tiffin stars as the titular investigator. Other cast members include D\u00f3nal Finn (\u201dThe Wheel of Time\u201d), Zine Tseng (\u201d 3-Body Problem\u201d), Joseph Fiennes (\u201dThe Handmaid\u2019s Tale\u201d), Natascha McElhone (\u201dHalo\u201d), Max Irons (\u201dCondor\u201d) and Colin Firth (\u201dThe King\u2019s Speech\u201d).<\/p>\n

This is not Ritchie\u2019s first delve into the world of Sir Doyle. In 2009, he released the film \u201cSherlock Holmes,\u201d starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. He released a sequel, \u201cSherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,\u201d in 2011.<\/p>\n

Ritchie directed the first two episodes and serves as executive producer. The series was created for television by Matthew Parkhill, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Dhana Rivera Gilbert, Marc Resteghini, Simon Maxwell, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Kelton, Colin Wilson, and co-executive producers Harriet Creelman and Steve Thompson.<\/p>\n
