KARACHI \u2013 The Sindh High Court\u2019s constitutional bench on Friday directed the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and other relevant authorities to submit their responses to petitions filed by students challenging the MDCAT examination.<\/p>\n

A SHC division bench headed by Justice Adnan Iqbal Chaudhry passed the order on petitions challenging the MDCAT examination.<\/p>\n

Nawaz Dahri, advocate for the petitioners, told the court that students of the 2024 batch were awarded first rank without following any merit formula and were allotted seats alongside the 2025 batch. He added that over 400 students were given seats outside the merit list, depriving the petitioners of their rightful positions. Dahri urged the court to declare PMDC\u2019s actions illegal.<\/p>\n

A total of 25 MD-CAT students, including Bisma, have approached the Sindh High Court. The petitions name PMDC, the Federal Ministry of National Health, the Universities and Boards Division, and other authorities as respondents.<\/p>\n

The court adjourned further hearing until December 22.<\/p>\n
