ISLAMABAD \u2013 Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that a pilot project of an AI-based application is being launched to help identify which individuals are eligible and safe to travel.<\/p>\n

Mohsin Naqvi said zero tolerance would be adopted against fake visas and the agents involved, adding that the passports of deported individuals would be cancelled and such travellers would be barred from obtaining visas in the future.<\/p>\n

The decision was taken during a meeting jointly chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain. Several key reforms were discussed to improve the existing system. The government decided to intensify its crackdown on individuals attempting to travel abroad using fake documents, as part of broader efforts to curb illegal immigration and streamline the verification process.<\/p>\n

The meeting approved measures to make the issuance of the Protector stamp foolproof while also introducing reforms to facilitate passengers through an upgraded immigration system.<\/p>\n

Federal ministers directed the concerned departments to submit final recommendations within seven days. The authorities were also instructed to launch a crackdown against those involved in the fake visa trade and the agent mafia facilitating fraudulent travel.<\/p>\n

He further announced that a unified international driving licence would now be issued through the National Police Bureau.<\/p>\n

The interior minister said that individuals using illegal means to travel abroad damage Pakistan\u2019s reputation, adding that the aim of immigration reforms is to facilitate citizens while improving the country\u2019s global credibility.<\/p>\n

Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain added that individuals travelling on labour visas must possess verified and authentic documents. He assured full cooperation from his ministry to strengthen the Protector and immigration systems.<\/p>\n
