Commander Royal Saudi Land Forces Lieutenant General Fahad bin Saud Al-Johani praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and appreciated the “positive role played by Pakistan in regional peace and stability\u201d during a meeting with Chief of Defence Forces\u00a0Field Marshal Asim Munir at the General Headquarters, the military’s media wing said in a statement on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security and prospects for expanding bilateral defence cooperation. The two officials reiterated their commitment to strengthening what ISPR described as \u201clongstanding and brotherly relations\u201d between the armed forces of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

Field Marshal Munir expressed satisfaction over the \u201crobust defence collaboration\u201d between the two militaries and underscored the need for continued cooperation in training, capacity building and intelligence sharing, the statement added.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Bahrain National Guard Commander General Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa also met Field Marshal Munir during a visit to the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.<\/p>\n
