{"id":102035,"date":"2025-12-03T12:04:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T12:04:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/senate-body-discusses-imf-governance-corruption-diagnostic-report\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T12:04:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T12:04:08","slug":"senate-body-discusses-imf-governance-corruption-diagnostic-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/senate-body-discusses-imf-governance-corruption-diagnostic-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Senate body discusses IMF Governance, Corruption Diagnostic Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"min-height:300px\">\n<p><strong>ISLAMABAD: The Senae\u2019s Finance Committee, chaired by Senator Saleem Mandviwala, discussed the IMF\u2019s recent Governance and Corruption Diagnostic Report pointing out staggering Rs. 5,300 billion corruption in country.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Senator Dilawar Khan, a committee member, questioned whether action would be taken against the institutions mentioned in the report.<\/p>\n<p>He also cited a serious case involving an FBR officer in Lahore who allegedly demanded a share from a member in a refund-related corruption case and opened fire when his demand was refused.<\/p>\n<p>Another committee member, Senator Abdul Qadir, said that a CDA official committed billions of rupees corruption and sent to Adiala Jail. A deal was struck in Adiala and the man posted on even a bigger office.<\/p>\n<p>He alleged that the mafias running the government adding that the system could not be run in this manner.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Farooq H.
