ISLAMABAD \u2013\u00a0 Two women have been killed in tragic road accident near Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad on Tuesday morning. The fatal accident occurred at Secretariat Chowk, Islamabad, near the Metro Station.<\/p>\n

According to FIR registered at the Secretariat Police Station, Samreen Hussain (25) and her friend Tabinda Batool (27) were heading home from PNCA when a white V8 car, registration AYE-379, reportedly went out of control and hit them.<\/p>\n

Both women, who worked part-time for an events management group at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts, died in the accident. Their scooter was completely destroyed.<\/p>\n

Authorities identified the driver as Muhammad Abuzar Reki, son of Muhammad Asif, who is reportedly associated with a prominent position at the Islamabad High Court. Copies of the FIR, remand report, and the suspect\u2019s ID card have been obtained by media sources.<\/p>\n

The remand report statesd that Abuzar was driving recklessly at high speed, which led to the fatal collision. Judicial Magistrate Shaista Kundi approved a four-day physical remand for him in Islamabad District Court on Tuesday. His listed address is Spinny Road, Quetta, Balochistan.<\/p>\n

Investigators revealed that Abuzar admitted to recording a Snapchat video moments before the crash and reportedly disposed of his phone after the incident. Police are trying to recover the device to examine the footage.<\/p>\n

Questions have arisen regarding Abuzar\u2019s age and legal status. He reportedly does not have a valid driver\u2019s license, while official records indicate he is 16 years old. CCTV footage from the scene is under review, and investigators are determining whether he was alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident.<\/p>\n

Police reported that Shamim Bahar, a manager at an event management company and employee of the Administrative Secretariat in Lahore, was returning home with her friend Shahid Wajahat when a white V8 car (registration number 379-AYE), traveling at high speed, struck them around 1:45 PM. Both women fell onto the road and were pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Islamabad Secretariat Police have registered a case against the driver under sections 427, 297, and 322 of the Pakistan Penal Code for reckless driving and causing death. Authorities have vowed to ensure strict legal action against the responsible party.<\/p>\n
