{"id":101491,"date":"2025-11-20T15:50:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-20T15:50:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/aleema-khan-appears-in-court-after-11-non-bailable-arrest-warrants-pakistan-observer\/"},"modified":"2025-11-20T15:50:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T15:50:12","slug":"aleema-khan-appears-in-court-after-11-non-bailable-arrest-warrants-pakistan-observer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/aleema-khan-appears-in-court-after-11-non-bailable-arrest-warrants-pakistan-observer\/","title":{"rendered":"Aleema Khan appears in court after 11 non-bailable arrest warrants &#8211; Pakistan Observer"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"brxe-452e52\">\n<p>RAWALPINDI \u2013 \u00a0Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, appeared in court following the issuance of 11 non-bailable arrest warrants against her.<\/p>\n<p>The appearance is related to a case registered over the November 26 protest.<\/p>\n<p>Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Amjad Ali Shah was hearing the case against Aleema Khan and 10 other accused individuals.<\/p>\n<p>The case alleges that Aleema Khan incited her supporters to participate in violent protests, engaged in acts of arson, and interfered with government officials.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the court had frozen 37 of Aleema Khan\u2019s bank accounts and cancelled her surety bonds due to her repeated absences. During prior hearings, National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) officials informed the court that her passport and national identity card had been blocked. The Punjab Revenue Board also submitted details of her properties.<\/p>\n<p>In the latest hearing, while Aleema Khan and her lawyers were not present, the other 10 accused and prosecution witnesses attended. Special Prosecutor Zaheer Shah and his team were also present in court. Due to her continued non-appearance, the court issued the 11th non-bailable arrest warrant against her.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, NADRA submitted a report confirming that Aleema Khan\u2019s passport and national identity card remain blocked as per the court\u2019s orders.<\/p>\n<p>In a related development, during the November 26 protest case, Arif Khan, a suspect responsible for the custody of a vehicle, failed to provide a surety bond.
