KARACHI: Senior provincial minister Sharjeel Memon on Wednesday said that the transport department upgrading the system in entire Sindh.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Talking to media minister said that the government taking key decisions for women empowerment in the province. \u201cWe have launched pink buses for women, now the pink buses also being plied in BRT.<\/p>\n

Sharjeel Memon said that pink buses are the first initiative in any of Pakistan\u2019s bus rapid transport.<\/p>\n

Provincial minister said that Double Decker and EV buses consignments are coming in the next week.<\/p>\n

\u201cTransport department is also engaged in talks for \u2018free bike service\u2019 for special people,\u201d senior minister said. \u201cThe double decker buses will only run over Shahrah-e-Faisal in the city,\u201d he further said.<\/p>\n

He said Shehbaz Sharif when became prime minister, he had promised to provide buses in his first visit of Karachi. \u201cI request the prime minister to fulfill his promise\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are also thinking about transgender people and a bike service will be launched for them,\u201d he further said.<\/p>\n

Sharjeel Memon said that in the 27th Amendment all provinces have been given equal representation. He said the constitutional court was also promised in the Charter of Democracy.<\/p>\n

He said the amendment has been a good step and it should not be criticized. \u201cThe bar associations have also appreciated the 27th Amendment\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is not a bad thing if the courts are subordinated to the parliament,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
