New York: The United Nations Security Council, in a rare emergency session, has approved a resolution supporting U.S. President Donald Trump\u2019s \u201cGaza Peace Plan<\/a>.\u201d The resolution was adopted by a clear majority, marking a significant diplomatic development amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The peace plan<\/a> calls for the deployment of an international stabilization force in Gaza, a complete ceasefire, and the immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces. Supporters of the resolution argue that the plan offers a viable pathway toward halting the violence and restoring stability in the region.<\/p>\n

Pakistan Supports the Resolution:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pakistan voted in favor of the resolution. Speaking at the session, Pakistan\u2019s Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar, said his country supported the plan because it \u201ccreates a genuine hope of stopping the ongoing massacre in Gaza.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur primary objective is to prevent the killing of innocent Palestinians,\u201d he emphasized. \u201cPakistan has always maintained that the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza is essential. Iftikhar reaffirmed that Pakistan has consistently supported the Palestinian right to self-determination and will continue to highlight this principled stance at the United Nations.<\/p>\n

He noted that Pakistan endorsed the proposal presented by Arab states and successfully contributed its own amendments, including the recognition of an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders.<\/p>\n

The Pakistani envoy expressed deep concern over the staggering human toll in Gaza, stating that more than 69,000 Palestinians, including a large number of women and children, have been killed in the past two years.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis humanitarian tragedy is enough to shake the collective conscience of the world,\u201d he said. \u201cThe deployment of an international peace force is expected to pave the way for lasting peace in Gaza.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a notable diplomatic gesture, Iftikhar also praised President Trump\u2019s efforts to end the conflict.<\/p>\n

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on his social media platform Social Truth that the United Nations Security Council has approved the creation of a new international body he called the \u201cBoard of Peace.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a posts, Trump praised what he described as an \u201cunbelievable vote\u201d by the Security Council, asserting that the newly recognized Board of Peace will aim to advance global stability.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Board of Peace has been recognized and approved,\u201d Trump wrote, adding that he would personally lead the initiative.<\/p>\n

The Board of Peace will consist of \u201cpowerful and highly respected leaders from around the world.\u201d He expressed confidence that the body would \u201cbring more peace across the world,\u201d said Trump<\/p>\n

Trump went on to thank all member nations of the UN Security Council for their support, specifically naming China, Russia, France, the United Kingdom, Algeria, Denmark, Greece, and Guyana. He also extended appreciation to South Korea, Pakistan, Panama, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, and Somalia.<\/p>\n

Trump further acknowledged additional countries he said supported the initiative despite not being part of the Security Council, listing Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Turkey, and Jordan.<\/p>\n

The President said more details regarding board membership and future plans will be announced \u201cin the coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

No independent confirmation of the UN Security Council vote was immediately available. The United Nations has not yet issued a statement regarding the claims.<\/p>\n

Hamas, Palestinian Resistance Groups Reject Draft Resolution:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Palestinian resistance groups have rejected the draft resolution, with Hamas warning that deploying an international force in Gaza would amount to foreign interference.<\/p>\n
