A total of 30,600 houses have been constructed in record time under the \u201cApni Chhat Apna Ghar\u201d programme, latest statistics from the Punjab Housing Department reveal.<\/p>\n

Approximately 105,700 families have received loans under the initiative so far, with a second installment disbursed to 69,200 families to complete construction.<\/p>\n

The programme, launched earlier this year by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, aims to provide loans and ready-made housing to underprivileged communities.<\/p>\n

Loans under the scheme are being offered interest-free on flexible terms. A 20 per cent concession is available for full repayment within one to three years, while borrowers repaying within four to six years can avail a 10 per cent discount, the Housing Department said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe public\u2019s trust in the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar programme is proof of its success,\u201d a department spokesperson added.<\/p>\n
