During an episode of the <em>Smart Girl Dumb Questions <\/em>podcast, host Nayeema Raza and the music producer were discussing Quebec, and Diplo commented on its reputation as a \u201craunchy place\u201d. When Raza mentioned that it had a \u201chot prime minister\u201d that Katy was dating, Diplo jokingly responded, \u201cI did date Trudeau, too; that was a weird one, though, because I\u2019m just \u2026 I\u2019m not in the position\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>His sarcastic remark quickly made headlines, prompting the podcast\u2019s official account to clarify the joke.
