{"id":100489,"date":"2025-10-28T04:14:04","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T04:14:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/pm-shehbaz-meets-saudi-crown-prince-ahead-of-future-investment-initiative-conference\/"},"modified":"2025-10-28T04:14:04","modified_gmt":"2025-10-28T04:14:04","slug":"pm-shehbaz-meets-saudi-crown-prince-ahead-of-future-investment-initiative-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/pm-shehbaz-meets-saudi-crown-prince-ahead-of-future-investment-initiative-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"PM Shehbaz meets Saudi crown prince ahead of Future Investment Initiative conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Monday ahead of the Ninth Edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII9) in Riyadh.<\/p>\n<p>The premier, visiting Saudi Arabia at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1929874\">invitation<\/a> of the crown prince, is leading a high-level Pakistani delegation during the trip.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and PM\u2019s aides Tariq Fatemi and Bilal Bin Saqib, according to a statement from the Prime Minister\u2019s Office (PMO).<\/p>\n<p>A statement issued on social media platform X by state broadcaster <em>PTV News<\/em> said the meeting with the Saudi crown prince was held in a \u201ccordial atmosphere\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMatters of mutual interest were discussed in the meeting. The joint statement of the meeting regarding discussions on promoting trade, investment, and cooperation in various sectors between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will be issued shortly,\u201d the statement said, adding that the meeting was attended by FM Dar, COAS Munir and senior cabinet members from both sides.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"media  w-full  w-full  media--stretch  media--embed  media--uneven media--tweet\" data-original-src=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PTVNewsOfficial\/status\/1982879656014492084\">\n<div class=\"media__item  media__item--twitter  \"><span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\"><p>\n        <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PTVNewsOfficial\/status\/1982879656014492084\"><\/a>\n    <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>PM Shehbaz earlier arrived at the King Khalid International Airport where he was received by Riyadh Deputy Governor Muhammad bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabia\u2019s Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki and Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"media  w-full  w-full  media--stretch  media--embed  media--uneven media--tweet\" data-original-src=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PTVNewsOfficial\/status\/1982802525397905479\">\n<div class=\"media__item  media__item--twitter  \"><span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\"><p>\n        <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PTVNewsOfficial\/status\/1982802525397905479\"><\/a>\n    <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The prime minister left for Riyadh earlier today from Lahore.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"media  w-full  w-full  media--stretch  media--embed  media--uneven media--tweet\" data-original-src=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GovtofPakistan\/status\/1982752013483163900\">\n<div class=\"media__item  media__item--twitter  \"><span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\"><p>\n        <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GovtofPakistan\/status\/1982752013483163900\"><\/a>\n    <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The invitation for the conference, signed by the crown prince, was given to PM Shehbaz in August by Ambassador of the King\u00addom of Saudi Arabia Naw\u00adaf bin Said Al-Malky.<\/p>\n<p>The FII9 will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1951344\">convene<\/a> global leaders, investors, policymakers, and innovators to explore the theme, \u201cThe Key to Prosperity: Unlocking New Frontiers of Growth\u201d.
