Rawalpindi Ring Road project would be completed during one year, said Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Liaquat Ali Chatta.<\/p>\n

He informed that the ring road would become harbinger of development in the region. He said that the construction work of 38.3 km long Rawalpindi Ring Road project had been started and all-out efforts would be made to complete the project within stipulated time frame.<\/p>\n

Rawalpindi Ring Road would have total five interchanges at Banth, Chak Bali Khan, Adiala Road, Chakri Road and Thalian while industrial zones would be set up around the Ring Road. The Ring Road is a very important public welfare project, the Commissioner said adding, the elements who were saying that Rawalpindi Ring Road project had been shelved would be disappointed now.<\/p>\n

He said that the ring road project would provide market linkages to the economic zones and create alternate business opportunities to the business community. The Commissioner said that RDA has a key role in the implementation of the development projects for Rawalpindi and the rapid progress of these projects.<\/p>\n

The Ring Road project would help reduce traffic congestion on the city roads and facilitate the movement of the residents of the adjacent areas, he said adding, the Ring Road project would start a new chapter of development for Rawalpindi city.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Liaquat Ali Chatta has advised the citizens not to invest in illegal housing societies and check their status on RDAs official website www.rda.gop.pk.<\/p>\n

According to a Commissioner Office spokesman, on the directives of the Commissioner, Rawalpindi district administration had launched a grand operation against illegal housing societies and took action in accordance with the law against the rules violators.<\/p>\n
