Turkish president Erdogan reaches Pakistan on two-day visit
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday for a two-day visit, where he was welcomed by Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz and President Erdogan will jointly preside over the 7th session of the Pakistan-Turkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. The session is expected to conclude with the signing of a Joint Declaration along with several key agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).
President Erdogan will also hold separate bilateral meetings with both Prime Minister Shehbaz and President Zardari. Additionally, alongside Prime Minister Shehbaz, he will address the Pakistan-Turkiye Business and Investment Forum, which will gather top investors, businesses, and companies from both countries.
“Pakistan and Turkiye share historic fraternal bonds. The Turkish President’s visit and the 7th Session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council will further strengthen the brotherly ties and enhance multifaceted cooperation between the two nations,” said the Foreign Office.
