ISLAMABAD: In a major counter-terrorism breakthrough, senior Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP), commander Hafiz Gul Bahadur was eliminated in aerial strikes conducted in Argun, Khost on the night of 17–18 October 2025.
According to credible sources, several key members of his Shura (leadership council) were also killed in the operation. Bahadur was buried secretly the same night, marking a significant setback to terrorist networks targeting Pakistan.
According to official reports, Pakistan carried out precision strikes against Kharji (TTP Gul Bahadur Group) camps located in border areas of North and South Waziristan districts inside Afghanistan.
The strikes were launched following multiple foiled terrorist attempts by the group against Pakistani targets.
The targeted operations were based on confirmed intelligence, resulting in the elimination of 60–70 militants, including top leadership figures of the Gul Bahadur faction.
The action represents a decisive blow to cross-border terror outfits operating from Afghan territory and underscores Pakistan’s commitment to neutralizing threats to its security and sovereignty.
