KARACHI – The government of Sindh is planning to introduce residential plot schemes for public sector employees, and the payment can be made in easy installments.
Sindh’s Information Minister, Sharjeel Memon announced the development, saying government employees will be able to own residential plots in installments similar to the journalists’ society.
PPP leader further said the plots will be offered at a low cost to pass on relief to those who don’t own residences. The housing scheme will cater specifically to both upper-grade and lower-grade government employees, including those in the Sindh police and traffic police departments.
Sindh government is also working on different projects related to electric buses, Solid Waste Management to facilitate public.
Furthermore, Sindh Minister revealed that digital plan for the One Stop One Shop initiative has been approved in Sindh. Of the 48 departments, more than dozen will be digitized this year, allowing their work to be conducted online.
In a similar development, over 100 acres of land on the Malir Expressway are being allocated for a state-of-the-art institute for special children, which will include a hospital, school, and playground. Minister further highlighted the ongoing issue of electric vehicle registration, stating that vehicles can now be registered in their respective provinces.
