LAHORE: Rauf Atta Advocate emerged victorious in the Supreme Court Bar Association elections held on Tuesday, representing the Asma Jehangir Panel. Competing against him, Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar, who ran under the Hamid Khan-backed Professional Panel, raised allegations of vote rigging during the counting process in Lahore.

The Election Commission, however, dismissed these claims, confirming Rauf Atta’s win as legitimate.

The election has drawn significant attention due to the contested result and accusations, marking a tense moment in bar association politics. Rauf Atta’s victory signifies continued influence for the Asma Jehangir Panel within the legal community.
