According to the outlet’s technical team, hackers attempted multiple intrusions using different VPNs and locations across the world to disrupt access and damage the site’s systems.
Engineers worked throughout the night and were able to temporarily block the malicious activity, restoring services for readers and viewers. The team said monitoring has been intensified as more attempts are expected in the coming days.
The organization has decided to formally approach the Federal Investigation Agency’s Cyber Crime Wing to identify those behind the attack and bring them to justice. Officials believe the repeated attempts indicate a deliberate effort to silence an independent regional news voice.
In a statement, Quetta Voice apologized to its audience for the inconvenience and thanked users for their patience and continued support. The outlet reaffirmed its commitment to providing accurate, timely news despite digital threats and ongoing challenges.
